May 2009 Meeting

bullet

6 members attended.

bullet

We discussed mowing and the replacement of the main belt on the LT 180 mower.

bullet

Discussed the possibility of running a booth at the Sheridan Harvest Moon. Cost would be $50 for the booth + $10 for power if we want to run a simulator. Oct 4 (9 to 6) and Oct 5 (11-4). The booth must be manned the whole time and cannot close early.

bullet

Also discussed rolling the field.  We seem to have some resources available to get this done.

bullet

Discussed the summer fun get together - still need to decide on a date.

bullet

Nothing for show and tell this month.

April 2009 Meeting

bullet

We purchased an LT-40 from Bill VanZile to be a club trainer.

bullet

David Zola reported on the sale and difficult extraction of the shed from the property. It is GONE now. Thanks Dave!

bullet

The 2009 field day is scheduled for April 18th - rain day would be the 19th.

bullet

David checked out the mowers already - charged and cleaned up - ready for the season.

bullet

We will be removing the trash barrels.  Everyone is responsible for removing your own trash. If you see some laying around, please help keep the site cleaned up.

bullet

We welcomed a new member - Terry - He has flown for 20 (mostly on the south side of town) years but not much recently. Has a Easy Sport and a Super sportster. Looking for some help getting going again.

bullet

Myron showed us his most recent acquisition - electric biplane.  Nice - plenty of power.

November 2008 Meeting

bullet

We reviewed the year - Dave Zola had a plane that he was willing to raffle off but there wasn't much interest. Marvin brought in a foamy that he has been flying recently and Pat Jones brought in his new trainer for balancing. We also discussed nominations for officers for 2009:
bulletPresident: Dave Zola
bulletVice President: Pat Jones
bulletSecretary: Kevin Oberle - not present
bulletTreasurer: Gene Krodel
bulletWeb Master: Marc Walter
bulletSafety Officer: Gene Krodel
bulletField Marshal: Mark Schofield
These are just suggestions - additional nominations are welcome. We will have elections next February.

Drew's Helicopter Rides

Drew is a club member that can make a helicopter flat out dance. He was gentle when he made this video (no inverted, no backwards, no totally outrageous) just a great 360 Deg. look at the field. A long file to download but worth the wait. ENJOY!
